BLADE RUNNER BLACK OUT 2022 - Anime Prequel to #BladeRunner2049 - Directed by Shinichiro Watanabe

"In 2022, an EMP detonation has caused a global blackout that has massive, destructive implications all over the world. Directed by Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo's Shinichiro Watanabe, Blade Runner Black Out 2022 is a new and highly-anticipated animated short which serves as a prologue for the upcoming feature film Blade Runner 2049."
Remember that third “prequel” short film for “Blade Runner 2049” - commissioned by director Denis Villeneuve we have been waiting for? And that “Blade Runner Anime” announced not too long ago? Turns out they are ONE AND THE SAME! The third prequel short (to come after Luke Scott’s “2036: Nexus Dawn” and “2048: Nowhere to Run”) IS the anime, directed by Shinichiro Watanabe (“Cowboy Bebop”, “Samurai Champloo”)!

Featuring over 15 minutes of replicants gone rogue, this is pretty darn swell hype leading up to the film’s premiere on October 6th, 2017 in the USA, and on October 5th in Singapore.
